トラベラーズセンチュリークラブ (TTC)ってなんやねん！327カ国あるってどういうことやねん！

世界100カ国以上回った人のみが加盟できる旅行愛好会、その名も「トラベラーズセンチュリークラブ(通称 TTC)」。

世界中の旅好きが集まった非営利法人で、現在の会員数は1,400人を超えるそうです。

そんな謎の組織、トラベラーズセンチュリークラブについて紹介したいと思います。

トラベラーズセンチュリークラブへの入会条件

100カ国以上回っており、初期手数料(100ドル)と年会費(50ドル)を支払えば加盟できます。

「100カ国回っているってどうやって証明できるの？」と思い、申し込み用紙を確認したところ、申し込み用紙に行った国名をチェックするだけでした。

これ、実質100カ国行っていなくても、お金さえ払えば加盟できそうです。(当然、やっていませんが)

50カ国を回ると「仮会員」もある

100カ国だけでなく、50カ国回れば「仮会員」という形で加盟できます。

仮会員の場合、年会費は通常通りかかりますが、初期手数料は100カ国を回って正規会員になったタイミングで支払うとのことです。

【TTC加盟メリット2】TTCオリジナルピンがもらえる

TTC正規会員限定(100カ国以上回った人)で、TTCのロゴが施されたピンが10ドルでもらえます。

さらに、回った国の数によって特別な色のピンが購入(8ドル)できます。

ダイヤモンドピンはトラベラーズセンチュリークラブ内でも一目置かれるピンです。

【TTC加盟デメリット】年会費がかかる

初期費用が100ドル、年会費が85ドル（アメリカ在住の方は75ドル）かかります。

まあ、年中旅行できる経済的な体力がある方にとってははした金かもしれないですが。

しかし、この年会費ですが、4ヶ月に1回行われるフォトコンテストで受賞すると免除されます。

フォトコンテストはお題に沿った写真で競い合うもので、受賞する写真は「綺麗さ」よりも「レア度」が重要視されるようです。

327カ国を制覇したのはたったの24人

アメリカのwikipediaの情報なので正確かどうかはわかりませんが、325カ国を制覇したのはたったの24人だそうです。

327カ国の中には商業用の飛行機や船が訪れない国もあるため、その場合は複数人で船をチャーターしていくそうです。

そこまでして国を回るのはもはや執念ですね。

トラベラーズセンチュリークラブの最年少は2歳8ヶ月

なんと、2歳8ヶ月で世界100カ国を回ったという羨ましい記録、、、

単純計算で、1ヶ月3カ国回った計算になります。とんでもないですね。
